Some friends were nice enough to respond:

"Hey Thomas. . . You can tell the reviewer's wrestling with the music and trying to come to terms with it - that's probably a good thing, especially for the reviewer, as ambient music has been misnamed in recent years. When it comes to ambient music I think that trying to make 'interesting' sounds or structures misses the point a bit. I think good ambience, like yours, is like a picture or a goldfish bowl in the room - it doesn't evolve, but it colours the environment and subtly alters the mood. It's definitely not for direct listening, and not for picking out details, but that's what the reviewer's trying (and failing) to do."

"I have to say that the minimalistic changes trough the tracks was what made me interested in Mystified. How you get it interesting when you're only doing small changes and also that makes me more focused on the sounds. I've experienced more changes in some tracks than others, but all it all I find at least 90% of the music really interesting, and the 10 remaining per cents are just interesting (without the really infront). So please do not read reviews to find out if music is good or bad. Listen and find it out yourself!!!"

Thanks folks.
