On 1/29 Bill Fox, dj, was kind enough to play “Phantom Ringer” from mystified’s Droehnhaus lp, “Pulse Ringer Pieces”, on his popular fm ambient show, “Galactic Travels”.
Galactic Travels is an electronic, ambient, and space music show, that airs each Thursday at 11:04 pm on WDIY 88.1 FM, Allentown and Bethlehem, PA, 93.9 FM in Easton, PA and Phillipsburg, NJ, 93.7 FM in Fogelsville and Trexlertown, and webcasting on the internet. WDIY also broadcasts in Digital HD at 88.1 FM.
Scanned from “Spin” Magazine, 11/2000. I was briefly interviewed for a special on internet radio. At the time, I hadn’t started mystified. I ran 2 popular online stations, one fractal techno music and the other fractal ambience based on sky data.
Though I was 28 when interviewed, the snapshot actually dates back to college, so I was probably 19 or so then.
“Ghostly Radiance” is a split collaboration between The Ghost Between The Strings and mystified. The Ghost Between The Strings proposed the split, and his tracks are guitar-based ambience and dark ambience, full of moodiness and subtlety. Mystified’s half tends to be a bit dronier but is also dark and full of shifting moods. Listening to the tracks together makes sense to the artists, and they hope you agree.
