Chicago Photo 1

Thomas’ friend Bruce Hollett was nice enough to offer some photographs of Chicago to spruce up the otherwise scantily-attended netrelease, “Big Shoulders Mix”, a 60-minute audio essay on the city of Chicago.

It’s all free! More here:

Foiled Again cdr Released

Foiled Again Cover

Mystified-Foiled Again CDr AA005
Thomas Park builds up an array of dissonant drones that enter from all directions. These unnatural harmonies move the listener from one place to another, whispering sweetly on one track and roaring in anger the next. There are constant intrusions by the sounds of activity, with rain splattering across roofs and shovels penetrating the earth. Aggressive percussion bursts through in the last half of the album, and refuses to relent until the very end. 100 copies.

CDr is
$6 each/3 for $15 ppd US
$8 each/3 for $20 ppd Int’l

Music has slowed down a bit, though there are still some exciting releases coming down the pipe. Thomas decided to share some of his writing experiments through his website– only, of course, with interested parties. Check here:

Slow Cascade Cover

This release really has 2 parts. The first is a suite of minimal experiments with shimmering sounds by mystified– 4 short pieces mixed into a whole of about 17 minutes. The second part is a longer piece by AON. This piece is a remix of sounds provided by mystified. It is very lovely and graceful and clocks in at just over 34 minutes. Special thanks to AON for his work.
