“Amalgam” is a large collection of early audio experiments created by mystified, mostly during the year 2006. Granulated synthesis, strange looping techniques, shortwave, AM radio, household objects, and other techniques and sources were used.
These works were all slated for release, but due to technical, financial, or other reasons, most tracks were never successfully introduced.
Some of these are quite primitive, while more are like complete songs.
Thomas of mystified would like to encourage musicians to use sounds they like from “Amalgam” in their own compositions (providing due credit, of course). Others are welcome simply to listen, possibly while giggling, screaming, or shaking their heads.

Droon Records has released a single 60-minute track by mystified on cdr, “CircleSlowChime”. This piece was created using fractal/generative midi, then converted to discrete formats and processed. The result is a long, quiet procession of reverberant bell tones.

Mystified created a full project of drone tracks, which were then remixed by underground guru Wyrm. “Fever Stars” is based on films like “Alien” and “Starship Troopers”, where alien beings create a contagion in the universe, threatening humanity.

Another great surprise for me in 2009, since the submission from Renzu. It came from U.S.A. again : the brain behind Treetrunk Records, Mystified visited us. Treetrunk was originally collecting experimental ambient music, but now “opened the doors a bit to other genres”. This time, we did too (we already have experimental material, but we expanded the range). “It is a blend of techno, ambient, drone and noise - with mostly bright sounds and circuit-bent rhythms.”
