Mystified’s forthcoming, professionally-replicated cd, has been completely mastered by well-known Frederic Arbour of the Canadian dark ambient label Cyclic Law. The cd has 8 tracks and clocks in at just over 50 minutes. The label, First Fallen Star, and Thomas are currently assembling artwork and other design specifications. “Pulse Ringer Pieces” is now SOLD OUT from the artist’s studio. This 12″ vinyl lp has received extensive critical praise and radio play, but there are NO MORE copies available from Thomas.

Mystified appeared once again on Chuck Van Zyl’s “Stars End” radio broadcast. This marks mystified’s first solo appearance on the show. “Stars End” is one of the more popular and venerable American ambient radio shows. Played was a track from mystified’s new cd, “Primal Mystification”.

Here is some additional information about the professionally-created cd due out in mid-2010 by mystified on the label First Fallen Star. The cd is the first release in the “Eulogy” series and will be called “Passing Through The Outer Gates”. Professional mastering and artwork will be provided, and talks have ensued concerning a possible special cd case. More on this soon.

Coming soon– early- to mid- 2010– is mystified’s first professionally pressed cd. This will be the first in a series of cds at the label “First Fallen Star” called “Eulogy”. The “Eulogy” series is an artist’s exploration, sonically, of his or her own death and transition, in dark ambient form. Mystified has been hard at work on his pieces, and really enjoying the process.
“First Fallen Star” is a relatively new label, but they are very quality-conscious, and super-aware of the dark ambient scene. Thomas recommends that interested parties bookmark their website for forthcoming announcements. You might want to check out their previous releases while you are at it!

Thomas has been asked not to release this work publicly, but he wanted to make a note that some vintage fractal midi files from his early days as a musician were deconstructed and remixed by ambient master Forrest Fang. This was quite an honor for Thomas, and the piece is very beautiful. It is called “Garuda II”. For now, however, it will remain unreleased, a tantalizing reality.
